Clovis (Clorice) Bourgeois, 74, of Memramcook East died Tuesday (19 avril) at The Moncton Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in College Bridge, he was a son of the late Jude and Sédonie (Arsenault) Bourgeois. A retired service station gas pump repairman, he attended Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East. His wife, the former Osithe Belliveau, died in 1972.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Philias Bourque (Angela), with whom he resided, Mrs. Roger Bourgeois (Thérèse) and Mrs. Jean-Louis Bourque (Carmélice), both of Belliveau Village, Mrs. Aubert Gautreau (Nélida) of Gautreau Village and Mrs. Géraldine Pellerin of Moncton; two sons, Raymond of Memramcook East and Ronald of Belliveau Village; two sisters, Mrs. Exelda LeBlanc and Mrs. Annie LeBlanc, both of College Bridge; two brothers, Patrick (Pat) of Memramcook East and Laurie of College Bridge; 16 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Fred and Hervé, died previously.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
